Demon Days - Demon Days - Gorillaz

Just checked out my high shool bandmate's blog.
Not quite impressing, but little bit disappointing.
Sure, that was a very fun time jamming with each other.

You see, making music is not for fame, nor for money, 'cause they are not important at all compared to the music itself.
It's about expressing your feelings, getting your inspiration out of your own little brain, sharing your ideas with close friends.
It really doesn't matter that whether it sounds good or not.
It really doesn't matter that none might actually gonna like it~

What matter is that, they are our music.
Ours, not anyone elses music, meaning that it's we are the ones who can truely understand it, and can have fully control of it.

It puts a big smile on my face everytime I listen to our old recordings.
I can recall at which part we made mistake, and at which part we smiled at each other because we made a good transition.
That is worthwhile, and that's good enough, right?
That means something for us. They are the memories we are gonna talk about all the time.

So don't give it up. You might have put it down for a while, but it's really not hard to pick it up again.
'Cause that's what we did, and what we do. right?

eXpanism is the four of us.

UBC students Burt and Ernie both sit in front of Buchanan A building after their Econ 301 course. Burt is holding 4 cookies and 6 glasses of milk, and Ernie is holding 9 glasses of milk. Don't ask me, I don't know why.

Ernie likes Burt's cookie, so she wants to trade 9 glasses for 3 of Burt's cookies.

Burt said, "What da f*ck... go away.."

Then Ernine says to Burt, "Burt, your marginal rate of substitution is -2. That means that an extra cookieis worth only twice as much to you as an extra glass of milk. I offered to give you 3 glasses of milk for every cookie you give me. If I offer to give you more than your marginal rate of substitution, then you should want to trade with me."

but Burt replies, "Ernie, you are right that my marginal rate of substitution is -2. That means that I am willing to make small trades where I get more than 2 glasses of milk for every cookie I give you. but 9 glasses of milk for 3 cookies is too BIG a trade. My idifference curves are not straight lines, you see."

I don't know whether Burt or Ernie is smarter, but I just want to say,

Now I miss the weather in Vancouver... it was hot there too, but not the same kind...

And when it's hot and boring, it gets a lot worse.

It's nice to stay home and enjoy the air conditioner,

I should go places, like Hongkong and Guangzhou.

Although there is nothing other than shopping and meeting friends,

but it's better than feeling so empty and bored everyday, no?

After all, there is only 2 weeks left...

Oh well~~ I know it's been a long time...

but I can't just post something about nothing at all...

well actually I am doing this now... but anyways...

So yeah, just to tell all of you, everything is going perfectly fine here~~

And I am going back to China in August~

I really miss the days we jammed in a small band room....haha

And... I bought this game, "Brain Age" for NDS~

This game is cool! It has a lot of stupid tast but they aren't really that stupid...

It's based on a research in Japan which claim that it can train your brain~~~

Haha, I know I know, not many people believe in this.

But it is entertaining~~ if you have an NDS, check this out~~

Probably the best animation MV I have seen.

What is the original purpose to wear clothes and shoes?
Clothes are made to keep us warm,
and shoes are made to prevent our feet from being hurt.

If we easily give up those purpose for looking nice instead, then how hard is it for us to give up the purpose of our lives?

So I went stack up the chairs, turn off all the fans.

told the last customer that we close after 10 mins.

closed the door of arcade.

then I went back to the staff room,

saved and reported the internet cafe record and balance sheet.

turned off the computers.

turned off the games room light, turned on the cleaning light.

turned off the games.

there was a tape on the switch of the drummania game, saying "don't turn off".

Althought I knew that this was gonna be the last night for arcade, but still, I kept them on, it means something, for all of us.

then, I was waiting for 10:55 displayed on the cashier.

it was the time, I turned the key to "Z-tape", punch "." then "CA/TL".

so it printed the last Z-tape for arcade.

I turned the key back, put some new receipt paper on. I knew no one was going to use it anymore. but still, I did it.

then I turned the heart of arcade to "Off".

It was sad, for me, also for those who cares.

On the daily receipt, I wrote,

Then I left the arcade, I was the last to leave.

the lights in arcade is still on, the games, the drummania, the guitar freak, the photo sticker machine, the maximum tune 2, the tekken 5, the nascar, the stacker, (the missing Initial D3 which should be on) are still on.

Until someone turns it off. At least, not us.
